Agora a publicação, seguindo o que fez a Rolling Stone, resolveu dar sua opinião e elegeu as 100 melhores músicas do ano. O primeiro lugar ficou com Bad Liar, hit de Selena Gomez.
A Rolling Stone elegeu Sign of The Times, de Harry Styles, como música do ano. A Billboard seguiu um caminho diferente, não só ao eleger a música de Selena Gomez, mas também pela composição dos cinco melhores. A única concordância entre as duas foi o nome de Cardi B, com a música Bodak Yellow.
