Staples Center, Los Angeles, foi a sede oficial da 58ª edição do Grammy Awards. Durante a edição, Kendrick Lamar e Alabama Shakes foram os grandes vencedores, ambos com cinco e quatro grammys. A premiação foi introduzida pela performance morna de Taylor Swift, que apostou em look meio básico, para mostrar o seu mais recente single, Ou of the Woods. Além de Taylor, a festa recebeu grandes apresentações, daquelas de tirar o fôlego e fazer chorar. Kendrick Lamar, um dos mais premiados da noite, zerou o evento com um medley incrível e arrebatador para Alright.
Seguindo para as homenagens - que foram muitas -, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Meghan Trainor e Luke Bryan prestaram aquele tributo digno de muitas lágrimas para Lionel Richie. A novata Andra Day teve seu momento marcante na festa com apresentação conjunta com Ellie Goulding, ambas cantaram Rise Up e Love me like you do. Em memória de Maurice White, compositor do Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder subiu ao palco com o Pentatonix para lembrar da sua contribuição significativa para a black music. Mesmo levando uma enxurrada de críticas negativas nas redes sociais, Lady GaGa, ao lado do guitarrista Nile Rodgers, do Chic, deu um show ao interpretar os sucessos de David Bowie, morto em janeiro. A popstar cantou Space Odity, Heroes e Let's Dance.

Adele...Mesmo dando uma desafinada de leve, a cantora sambou de salto 15 em apresentação à capela de All I Ask. Foi lindo! Outro momento expressivo do evento foi a apresentação do cantor folk Chris Stapleton com Bonnie Raitt, relembrando o trabalho memorável de B.B King. Mesmo com performances boas, o 58º Grammy parecia uma festa de fim de ano, com aqueles discursos previsíveis e - alguns - momentos esquecíveis.
