O humorístico "Saturday Night Live" e o drama "Westworld" lideram a lista de indicações aos prêmios Emmy, com 22 indicações cada um.
No anúncio das indicações, realizado nesta quinta-feira, a série cult "Stranger Things" e a antologia "Feud-A Disputa: Bette e Joan" ficaram com 18 indicações, enquanto que a comédia "Veep" recebeu 17. "Foi um ano de quebra de recordes para a televisão, que continua em um crescimento explosivo", afirmou o presidente da Academia da Televisão americana, Hayma Washington.
"Better Call Saul", "The Crown", "The Handmaid’s Tale", "House of Cards", "Stranger Things", "This Is Us" e "Westworld" são as sete indicadas para melhor drama. "Atlanta", "Black-ish", "Master of None", "Modern Family", "Silicon Valley", "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" e "Veep" competem pela estatueta de melhor comédia.
House of Cards / Netflix
A popular série da HBO "Game of Thrones", que levou 12 prêmio no ano passado, ficou de fora da competição este ano porque a nova temporada só começa neste domingo. Os vencedores serão anunciado no dia 17 de setembro no Microsoft Theater de Los Angeles, em cerimônia que terá como anfitrião o comediante Stephen Colbert.
